Core works involve the inspection and restoration of stator cores, which are critical to the electromagnetic performance of motors and generators. Over time, cores may suffer from lamination insulation breakdown, looseness, or localized damage due to overheating or electrical faults.
At our facility, stator cores are evaluated using core loss testing to identify hot spots and degraded areas. Repair activities include tightening of loose laminations, replacement of damaged laminations where required, re-insulation of affected sections, and wedge replacement to ensure proper slot support of windings.
These processes restore the magnetic efficiency of the core and prevent excessive losses, overheating, and future winding failures.
